Dr. Lea Yoder (formerly Dr. Lea Thompson)
Dr. Yoder originally came to this country in 1985 as a Rotary Exchange student. The Doctor was born in Salisbury Rhodesia, which later became Zimbabwe. After over seventeen years in this country she achieved her citizenship in 2002. In 1995 she moved from Chicago making Denver her new home, and in 2001 Dr. Lea married her long time friend and confident, a Denver native - David Yoder . She now has two daughters Samantha and Danielle. Dr. Yoder was educated Western Illinois University and completed her formal education in Chiropractic in 1992 at the National College of Chiropractic where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. For almost 4 years Greater Chicago Chiropractic was the home and learning ground for Dr. Lea, under the guidance of Dr. Evelyn Zuehlke and her fabulous team. In 1991 while still at the National College of Chiropractic, the Doctor found a new interest in the study of Acupuncture, and following some personal successes with the Healing Art, she decided to continue to pursue her studies in Acupuncture. In 1997 she visited China and Hong Kong to continue her studies in Acupuncture. For a further five years she went on to finish her studies with the Anchor Point System in Denver, eventually completing her Acupuncture National Boards in 2002 Accents on Health as a company was created 3 years ago and the new office on Orchard Road was born. Together with Dr. Diana Alba (Pristine Health) - a Naturopathic Doctor and Homoeopathist, Linda Kling and Emily Kamla- Certified Massage Therapists - the dream of building a team of healing specialists began. Dr. Yoder formed an alliance with the Peak Health and Fitness personal training facility. Todd Finn has been a great inspiration and teacher to Dr. Lea. The combination of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage and the elements of exercise and fitness have created a tremendous healing environment for both Dr. Yoder's patients and Peak Health and Fitness clients alike. The Doctor's philosophy regarding healthcare, is to achieve the most out of the human body naturally. Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Nutrition and Exercise all play an important integral part in this philosophy. Interests include : Memberships: |
